WebVPN

Secure Access SSL VPN is an easy way to access your Colorado College network drives and Colorado College internal web pages without needing additional software or setup.

*Note on SSL VPN Access* For best results while using the SSL VPN, make sure you allow popups on the VPN site. There are many different popup blockers and each uses a different method to allow popups on a site. To do so using the Internet Explorer (IE) popup blocker, open up IE and select the Tools menu, then Internet Options. Click the Privacy Tab at the top, then Settings in the lower right of the box. In the white box under ‘Address of Web site to Allow’ type https://sslvpn.coloradocollege.edu, and click the Add button. Click the Close button, and then click OK.

Now go to the following website and log in: https://sslvpn.coloradocollege.edu (note the s after http). You might be prompted that the site’s security certificate is invalid. Since this is a site you trust (you are getting it from us), just continue on to the web page.

On this page you will have to browse to the folder that you need to map. Typically you will want to choose Admin1 if you are a staff member or Fileserver1 if you are a Faculty member or Student.

Once you found the folder that you need, click on it to bring up that folder.

To make sure that this folder will show up on the main screen for SSL VPN, click on Bookmark Current Folder in the top right-hand side of the screen.

This next screen will allow you to describe the folder that you have just bookmarked to make it easily recognizable on the main screen. Click on Add Bookmark when you’re finished!

After you have mapped the network drive that you need, you will be presented with a number of options. Use Upload Files… to upload a file to your network drive, New Folder… to create a new folder, or use the check boxes and the Delete… and Download… buttons to remove and download a file to your computer. You can also bookmark a specific fub-folder so that it will show up on your main page by selecting the folder and clicking on the Bookmark Selected… button.
