Connect to wireless on Macintosh OSX
The Colorado College wireless network uses the WPA2 protocol with AES encryption and PEAP authentication - your wireless card will need to support all these protocols in order to connect (Airport Extreme or newer cards are just fine). Instructions are as follows):
1) Select the Tigernet2 network from the Airport dropdown menu:

2) Enter your Colorado College username and password in the fields provided:
You may also wish to check the “remember password” box so that it connects automatically in the future. However, remember that if you ever change your password it will affect this connection.

3) Click on “Show Certificate” to go to the next screen:

4) Check the box “Always trust these certificates” and click on “Continue” to tell your Mac to always accept this as a trusted security certificate:

Once authenticated, the wireless icon will show the strength of the signal from the wireless access point. At this point, access to the network will be the same as a hard-wired connection.
Registering the Network Card:
The first time you open a web-browser after configuring your AirPort card, you will be prompted to register the adapter’s Ethernet address (if you’ve already registered your wired connection, your wireless connection was registered at the same time so you don’t need to do this). Just follow the on-screen instructions to register.
If you are having problems connecting, contact the Help Desk at x6449 or HelpDesk@ColoradoCollege.edu for assistance.
