| Due to network storage limitations, you cannot send an attachment larger than 10 megabytes (MB) through the Colorado College email system. The Anonymous FTP server is a good way to share larger files, especially off campus.
Anonymous FTP Access Using Windows:
- Make sure you are using Internet Explorer 6 or above. To check your browser version, go to the Help Menu and select ‘About Internet Explorer’. (If you do not have the latest version, you can update it using Windows Update).
- Then, Click Here to log into the Anonymous FTP server.
- To upload a file, drag it from its current location into the Internet Explorer window. To download a file, drag it from the Internet Explorer window to a location on your computer or to your H: drive.
Anonymous FTP Access Using Mac OS X:
- Using the Anonymous FTP server with OS X requires third party software. Click Here to download one such program, called RBrowser. Be sure to note the installation instructions on the download page.
- Once the program is installed, go to the Finder, and double-click RBrowser in the Applications list.
- It will prompt you for a Host/URL. Type in file-exchange.coloradocollege.edu. Both the Username and the Password should be “anonymous”. Then click the Login button.

- To upload a file, drag it from its current location into the RBrowser window. To download a file, drag it from the RBRowser window to a location on your computer or to your H: drive.
