Configure an email profile on your iPhone or iPod Touch

Before setting up email, you should ensure that your iPhone or iPod Touch is configured to connect to our wireless network, tigernet2 for the best results.  If you have not done so already, instructions are here.

Configuring an exchange profile will allow you to view your CC mailbox, contacts, and calendar on your iPhone or iPod Touch in such a way that it will stay synchronized with the server over the wireless or cellular radios, which makes it very convenient indeed.

1) First, touch the “Settings” button from the home page and select “Mail, Contacts, and Calendar”

2) From here, take a quick look through the options in the lower part of the screen to make sure they are set how you want them, and then click “Add Account…”

3) Select “Microsoft Exchange” from the accounts types listed.

4) Fill out the information as noted below, and then click “Next”

Email: john.doe@coloradocollege.edu (your email address)
Domain: coloradocollege
Username: jdoe (your cc username)
Password: ********* (your cc password)
Description: Type whatever you’d like to identify the account

5) The iPhone or iPod Touch will think for a few moments, and then a new field labeled “Server” will show up between the “Email” and “Username” fields.  Enter “securemail.coloradocollege.edu” in this field and then click “Next”:

6) Once it connects, you will be asked what information you’d like to synchronize with exchange – set these however you’d like and then click “Save”

That’s it, you’re done!

If this isn’t working for you, double check to make sure your password is entered correctly (it can be easy to hit the wrong key accidentally)
