| To ensure the security of your personal information in this era of identity theft and privacy attacks, we have decided to manage Postini passwords separately from your CC email account.
Your Postini password should be different from your CC email password. We recognize the inconvenience of having a separate password for your Postini account, and the reason we ask you to do this is to protect the security of your email account.
First, navigate to the Postini log in page https://login.postini.com and enter your email address as you normally would. Instead of typing your current password, however, type in something completely random so that it is wrong:
*Note* if Postini goes directly to your Message Center when you click that link, you will need to follow this brief procedure to get the log in prompt to appear (otherwise, you may ignore these steps and continue):
– Click this link to go to your message center: https://login.postini.com.
– After it logs in automatically, click the small “Log Out” link in the top right corner.
– When you see the message that says “You have sucessfully logged out.”, close Internet Explorer.
– Reopen Internet Explorer and click here: https://login.postini.com.

When it doesn’t recognize your password, the following screen will appear. Click on "Forgot your password?"

You will see the following screen explaining that a new, temporary password will be sent to your email account. Click Submit.

Watch for the message verifying that your new password has been sent:

Now open your email. You should see a message from HelpDesk that looks like this:

Make note of your temporary password, and then click the link to return to Postini’s login screen. Log in with your email address as normal and your temporary password:

At this point, Postini will ask you to change your password to anything of your choosing. Enter your temporary password once again, and then whatever you choose for your new password (twice for verification) and hit save changes. Remember, your new Postini password should be different than your CC password for better security, but it should also adhere to our complexity standard – see this Web Page for more information on creating good passwords.

That’s it! From now on, log into Postini with your new password.
